Sports Passion in Friday Night Lights

09/17/2012
I absolutely adored the show Friday Night Lights ever since I first watched an episode in season one. Friday Night Lights Seasons 1-5 DVD is based about a film and a novel of the same title.

It's a combination of raw emotion and great access. And with the (best case) marginal light, it's technically a little more difficult than shooting in the bigger venues. With a little AC/DC blaring in the headphones, it's almost like watching a football game and playing X-Box at the same time.

These Friday Night Lights dvd capture all of the angst of teens, the drama of football, the all too real difficulties parents and teachers have when trying to help their kids, and so much more. It feels genuine, and that is a very rare quality in a show like this.

It was a memorable night for Doug Caines of Santa Barbara High and Nate Mendoza of Dos Pueblos. They stood on the sidelines as head football coaches for the first time, and both their teams were victorious — Caines’s Dons 25-22 over St. Joseph of Santa Maria, and Mendoza’s Chargers 12-0 over Santa Ynez.

The characters have evolved with their craft and their ability to use the lines to their advantage and for the development of the characters they're portraying. Each episode is packed with more drama and intrigue than a regular movie. Each season is better than the previous, which only shows that all the people working on the series learn as they go.

For a show entering its final run, Friday Night Lights spends a surprising amount of its remaining time introducing brand new characters. Some, like Vince's dad, Ornette, provide drama for the characters we already know, and add depth to their storylines.

Others, like Hastings Ruckle, a star basketball player recruited over to the football team, enter with great fanfare only to go nowhere and leave us wondering what the point was of bringing him in in the first place—and taking up valuable time that could be spent on other characters. buy cheap dvds online to go through the passionate show again!
