There are rivalries, romantic interests, love triangles, and the whole weird situation with Eddie Lawson in Royal Pains Season 2 DVD. There's just a lot more going on in general, especially for Evan and Hank. The chemistry between the couples are good. various small plots help to sell it better. the main character is lovable and is surprisingly calm. You may think that it's a cross between the Burn Notice and Dr.House but it's definitely something much more.
